It’s true what they say. Good lighting is everything. And this was certainly the case for Amy and Daniel’s wedding at the York Mills Gallery – a hip North Toronto venue that offers a beautiful yet blank canvas, which allows us to create perfect, creative and personalized events and experiences for our clients. For their special day, Amy and Daniel wanted a classic look and feel, emphasized by gorgeous soft blue lighting and accents. For the ceremony, we created a modern multi-panel plexiglass Chuppah, with white flowers decorating all around the top, with a traditional hanging chandelier underneath to light up the bride and groom and their families as they exchanged vows. The Chuppah was surrounded by the blue uplighting, giving the guests a taste of what was to come in the celebratory space after the ceremony concluded. Once they said their “I dos”, the bride and groom and their guests entered the ballroom space, surrounded by the same spectacular blue lighting. The tables were dressed in a neutral mid-grey linen and were decorated with classic white wedding florals of roses, hydrangeas, and tulips. The flower arrangements were encircled by a mixture of various glass candleholders, which provided soft lighting to each table. Each table was paired with translucent chairs, allowing the blue lights to really shine through. As a finishing touch, small light bulbs were loosely hung from the ceiling, creating a star effect. The entire wedding showcased that when lighting is used in a unique way, it can truly create a beautiful atmosphere.
